Tried a case lasting several weeks before J. Gonzalez. As good and fair a trial judge as you'll get. Works hard. Tries to get rulings right. Listens attentively to testimony and takes meticulous notes. Doesn't like shtick, theatrics, or acrimony between counsel. Tries to keep things collegial, and has excellent rapport with jury. Lawyers who are prepared, respectful and courteous with her, her staff and one another, can expect to be treated in kind and to be allowed to put on their case.

One unfortunate practice: She limits the duration of opening and closing statements, in my view, too much.

vJust awful, awful, awful. spends months and months on motions and acts like a Queen in her realm, knows nothing about certain aspects of the law and borrows from other areas. Blames attorneys for her own failures. Strikes motions from e-filing sua sponte. She'll never learn her lesson or admit a mistake. She's never been reversed in an appealed decision, but it's coming. She cares not. She'll await her pension and retire, nastily barking her way out the door. Beware of this terrible wench who is not a public servant, but a mean, nasty woman who should be off the bench, but she'd never get another job. Not even-handed towards attorneys in the least. Even my arrogant adversary supported me in part. NEVER have I ever been before a more intemperate judge, lacking in basic knowledge in an area of law she is required to know something about. Shame on her. Someone says "she is getting better with the law" on this board? Oh good for her - I thought you were supposed to be good with the law before you became a judge!

I have been in practice for well over a decade and she has to be the worst judge (State and/or Federal) that I have ever appeared before. Also, if the issue you are discussing in front of her is to complex (the mailing of a no-fault bill is to complex to her) she states this is to confussing and tells you to work it out between the parties instead of her doing her job and beening a Judge.
