Not only did she show up 2 hrs late for my case,but she purposely delayed my hearing and was rude to me about it. I guess she thinks because she is a judge,she can forget where sh came from. Clearly a loser.

Hopelessly biased pro-plaintiff judge. Will not listen to the arguments of defense counsel. Refuses to apply the law; often totally ignorant of the law. Horrible temperament - she has a volcanic temper. Shows up to the bench for trial at 11 am. Works 11-12:30; 3-4. Awful.

Judge Guzman possesses all of the necessary skills of a great trial judge. She does not interrupt the attorneys unless there is an objection. She researches the law before ruling upon significant evidentiary matters, and she cites the support for her rulings into the trial record. Whether you agree or disagree with her ruling, you can't ask for more of an effort from any judge. She will let you try your case.

Absolutely hands down the worst judge I have ever had the displeasure of appearing before. I defended a Labor Law 240(1) case before her. She made no attempt to hide her pro plaintiff bias...rolling her eyes and lowering her head when I made valid trial objections.
