My first interaction with this judge is when I had a DV case and my child was present. So when reported to the police of course family court got involved. After a year of this judge putting me and my child through a bunch of crap he gives my child’s father visitations back. And guess what happens.. we end right back in court two months later because the father of my child sexual assaulted my child. We are still in court but I don’t have much faith in this judge. He does not care about the welfare of children. And I am noticing that in a lot of cases and reviews about him

Biased. He denies the mother me a paternity test based on not wanting to "bastardize" a child; threatens me with perjury since the man beating me signed the acknowledgement of birth form. ACS takes child, cites me for being in physically abusive
relationship, finds no services or psych help for me. Richardson does nothing for me as a mother, his policy with most women as mothers AND custody end up with the convicted felon who took my daughter over state lines. Other states laugh at NY justice. If he did it to me, he's doing it to someone else. He hasn't heard the last of this situation, I guarantee.

This filthy dog sent my 6 year old daughter to live in Georgia with a man that wasn't her natural father (denied me a paternity test) after mandating her to sex abuse counselling at the age of 4for 12 weeks. NO ONE SUBPOENED the file for court: ACS, Adam Brown who was the law guardian nor my attorney Thomas Caruso. Richardson gave my daughter to a man Steven Marks convicted of selling heroin to an undercover cop. It's taken me 10 years to get my daughter back. She's been treated for numerous STI's since age of 9 while living with this man whom I let sign her birth certificate. ACS sited me in the petition for failure to get out of a violent relationship. He was considered a nonrespondent sitting in a cage until contacted by ACS while in prison that he had a daughter going into foster care. No drug screenings or anything. Richardson is a filthy animal. He's anything but honorable. He's real effective at closing cases. If he did this to me, then he did it to some other woman!

Most legal aid attorneys are intimidated by this judge, and give poor advice to litigants out of fear of reprisal. The court administration should carefully review most of his cases -- as it is, complaints are usually ignored.

"The most fair and practical judge in the state of New York". This Judge is simply.."Amazing". He is no nonsence and has total control of his court room.

My experience with this judge was when he was in Manhattan Family Court. My child was neglected by the father during a weekend visit with the child had to seek medical attention. The father was asking for custody because he did not what to pay court ordered child support. I contacted social services after the pediatrician asked why I waited so long to get treatment for my child. The father contacted the court for an emergency hearing. Richardson ordered temporary custody to the father saying that the mother was making the father look bad. The young child who hardly knew the father was distraught. I later discovered that Richardson and the father knew each other.
God knows and sees all things. Richardson's concern was not in the best interest of the child.
