Very knowledgeable, even handed judge. The county is lucky to have a judge of his caliber on the bench. He is a very no nonsense judge who will enforce his rulings fairly and without malice. He runs his courtroom efficiently and doesn't waste attorney time unnecessarily. I have appeared before him numerous times and have always viewed him as fair and impartial even when he has not ruled in my favor, and you really can't ask for more than that. He is attorney friendly and and is equally fair to both local counsel and out of county lawyers. You don't have to worry about getting "home towned" by him. Just take care of your business and be professional and you won't have any problems in dealing with him. I wish we had more judges like him. He gets the full 10 stars from me.

Trying a case before this judge is a great experience. he is such a breath of fresh air. He is thoroughly prepared for his hearings, and has read all of the relevant pleadings.

Been in the courtroom audience multiple times while Judge Pratt has been on the bench and have always been impressed with his work ethic, knowledgeability, and fairness. Hope we have him around for a long time to come.

What a great judge! Fair, honest, and just. Glad we have judges like him around when so many are incompetent. Makes everything clear to everyone. Those who leave negative reviews are likely on the losing end of a decision, but rest assured the decision will have been correct. This guy is good.

More of a customer service issue pertaining to his court staff they were absolutely terrible, rude, and unfair...and he defended them completely without even hearing what the issue was. Get all the facts, then chose a side. Should be second nature for a judge, don't you think. All in all, I have to say dealing with this courthouse was extremely shady and one sided. The entire place should be investigated.

I have practiced in front of this judge for his entire four years on the bench. He has ruled against my clients and for my clients, but not a whiff of bias. His rulings are thoughtful, scholarly, and well explained.
I fully agree with other posters, be sure your prepared and know your case when you come into the courtroom, because he will! Be on time!
His first concern is for the litigants appearing before him, but is very accommodating to counsel's special needs (like health issues).
He gets the out-of-town private counsel matters handled first on his dockets to get us back out to the rest of our practice to make money instead.
Simply put...I wish that I too, could have all my cases assigned to Judge Pratt in McIntosh County, rather than pulling out whats left of my hair dealing with the Judges Bartheld and Bland here in Pittsburg County.
Lord help us down here. I wish all judges were like Judge Pratt!!

After so many years of really bad judges in McIntosh County, the citizens finally received a savior! This judge is simply the best...outstanding scholar, workaholic, and Solomon-like in fairness and wisdom.

I only wish I could have ALL my cases assigned to him. The practice of law would be much more gratifying.

This guy works his tail off! He handles 96% of the cases filed in McIntosh County. Well versed in all areas of the law. Never been reversed. Will stay until the wee hours if necessary. Handles multiple dockets per week. Always prepared and ready for each hearing. Wish we could say that about our Pittsburg County District and Assoc. District judges!
