If you are a plaintiff, this is the courtroom you want. Very pleasant and courteous, but always rules in favor of the plaintiff any time she has any discretion to do so.

I was a juror and Judge Salkin was awesome. She scheduled to the minute so that our time was not wasted. She was super kind and created an atmosphere of respect. It was an amicable trial but when someone stepped out of line she was quick and clear about letting them know never to try that again. One thing I liked was that she let the jury ask questions. That was really helpful. When we got to deliberations we were well prepared. She sent donuts to us when we were deliberating and then sent a personal note to each juror after the trial was over. I really liked her.

Judge Salkin will someday be Justice Salkin. Her friendly demeanor and legal acumen, especially on civil evidence are extraordinary. She has a subtle sense of humor. Much self discipline and consistency.

She forgets she is no longer a DA. She will help the DA during trial if the DA is having trouble with the evidence. She lacks empathy for the clients that come before her. She should not be on the bench.

Its a pleasure to have a competent judge with a pleasant disposition and attitude. I have not been in front of her on criminal matters enough yet to rate on the various topics. However, these days, almost the only thing I am looking for is a reasonable temperament and respectful judge. Judge Salkin is bright and cordial...enough said.
