I had the opportunity to listen to several probate cases this morning, prior to our case. I was doing research on this judge and was very concerned by all the negative reviews I read. I was very impressed with her. She was very professional and showed general concern for the courts clients. When she called our cases, I was there live, while the other parties were on zoom. She was respectful and allowed me to speak without cutting me off. When the other party started to throw me under the bus, she kindly told them she was not here to litigate the case. She was here to discharge the attorney. She was very kind and respectful to all parties in the case and wished my family the best.
She was unlike the previous judge in this department 79 who was the rudest, most disrespectful judge I ever met. Thank you Judge Scaduto for being such a breath of fresh air today.

My daughter accused her mother's boyfriend of molestation. There was a police report and then brought an ex parte to court so I could have custody of my daughter and protect her. She then proceeded to give full physical/legal custody to the mother!!!! In what world does this happen?

I wanted to appeal her decision but it was going to cost me $7500... I guess justice is available to those who can afford it...

Lynn Scaduto showed heavy bias and neglected to even review the exhibits brought to her. My case was dealt with as if I didn't bring anything to court. On the other hand, my ex only said her side of the story, shed a few tears and somehow that "act" was just as valid as presenting compelling evidence.

This judge is a total disgrace. I now have to deal with heavily traumatized kids and I still have to see the face of the human-garbage who has been molesting my daughter.

Hello, My name is Ashley Nikkole Alcala granddaughter of Niko Zajos .I’ve seen Judge Scaduto twice.I had sole custody of my daughter Catherine Nikkole for 6 years judge Scaduto without hesitation or heart gave her father sole custody.I think it’s safe to say I have my life on track as a parent and a productive human in society and I want what is fair for my daughter. I had grounds to order a child custody evaluation because my daughter was saying father was drinking in front of her, living in an unsafe environment. Judge Scaduto denied that request which makes me wonder about the court system.Is she really keeping children safe? She also made some condescending remarks about me as a parent. Judge Scaduto also denied me 5050 child custody because she said it would be hard to take my child to school? What does my commute have to do with the fairness of me being her mother? And she also said she didn’t want to move child from father because she was already in school? Uhhh I had her for her first 6 years of her life and she took her away in a heartbeat not only that there’s a pandemic and children are schooling online.She definitely needs to work better. I am absolutely disappointed in the court system. I am getting ready to transfer to UCLA soon to write for SNL in the future. In a short comedy sketch, There’s no doubt that judge Scaduto steals and eats children.

We have been in front of this Judge numerous times, she is heavily unfair and biased to the side of her choosing from the get go. Her recommendations actually cause more litigation. It is clear she needs more training, but nothing will change her biases. You wanna pass on her if you can

Clearly our judicial system is severely flawed.
This is sad and severely detrimental to so many children and families. Time for a change. She actually has an alleged “litigant” on this feed working on her behalf because obviously she needs someone to defend her unjust actions.
I think it’s time for her to get a new job. And for the judicial system to wake up.

This jerk ruined my life. She’ll make no hesitation in ruining yours too. I strongly hate her with a passion. She’s stupid and inconsiderate. She has no idea what’s best for the kids in a divorce case. The kids should be the main priority, not the parents battle for control. She has no idea how divorce works. Had me removed from a case for bias for doing my duty as a mandated reporter and reporting child abuse to DCFS as required by my job. Doesn’t care at all about the minor child or justice. Grotesquely biased.

Judge Scaduto is a conscientious, meticulous, and extremely fair judicial officer. She handles her courtroom extremely well. She addresses every facet of the cases before her. She allows both parties to feel heard. And she has a nuanced understanding of domestic violence. I have appeared before Judge Scaduto multiple times now, and I have been extremely impressed with her.

Judge granted other parent legal custody despite numerous evidence presented before her! Her decision was based on her own opinion and bias ways, not on actual evidence presented before her. Left a child in the hands of the abuser!!!!! Why not allow poly graph test in court???? She would then know she was wrong in her unjust and unfair decision! She would know her judgement was wrong and left an innocent child in hands of the perpetrator!!!! Family Legal system makes me sick to my stomach! Child still being abused and court and Social Services failed to protect her!!!!!

I suggest we all file a complaint to the California Court commissioner in San Francisco, CA via fax. They only take written complaints. I believe she has acted outrageously unethically with many. We all need to stand up to her and stop her prejudice against African Americans, unrepresented people who can’t afford representation, and so many other individuals now! This is an abuse of power. Let’s get her out! Now is the time!

She is unable to be fair minded to look at all the evidence at hand she only sees one side the side she favors due to status not due to facts
She should never handle divorce or custody cases because of her inability to be fair minded and her inability to judge fairly and not only judge somebody by their status!

I appreciated that Judge Scaduto took the time needed to fully listen to both sides of the case that was in front of her. I was requesting a Restraining Order. When there is abuse involved, the victims can feel that they have no voice. Judge Scaduto provided me with the ability to voice the abuse experienced and listened to all the evidence provided. She did the same for my EX as well and made her ruling. Thankfully she could hear the need to issue the Restraining Order that I was requesting. I am so grateful for that ruling it still brings me tears of joy and relief.

Absolutely unfair, bias, and minimal regard to actual evidence presented before her. Granted Legal Custody to father which has little involvement In child’s education, medical care, or well being. Judges should be provided with mental health disorders training and maybe then, they can truly rule in the best interest of the child. Child which was physical abused with evidence of pictures is still in perpetrator’s home , thanks to this judge!

Take her off the bench. She is a complete and utter disgrace to the judicial system. Biased against treated and mild mental illness, total lack of regard for a child's best interest, and believes only what she wants. If you get her as a judge in a child custody case, make sure you get out of her court room fast or else you will be treated unjustly and shocked at what she does or rules. I personally asked her what I could do in order to get my child back, and she said it would just be a feeling she had verbatim. NO suggestions of anything whatsoever. I was the primary custodial parent for my child for 7 years of his life, thriving child, with a volatile court relationship with my sons father since he was born. Over a year after an ex parte filed by my ex, another attempt by him to take away my son, Scaduto didn't alter her ruling with all glowing monitor reports ONLY 8 hours a week visits. She never increased my visitation. Further, a court appointed custody evaluator, picked by my ex's counsel, and of course then approved by the judge, gave weight to a paid for 25 year old employee and new nanny of my ex who clearly had self-interest in lying to an evaluator. She only monitored 10% of our visits, the rest were court appointed monitors and ignored. Taking away a child from his Mother or Father who have never endangered their life, ever had any drug or alcohol addictions, PROVEN or real ones, just false accusations, never tested positive for ANY drug testing, never been to Rehab, no DUI or DWI, never abused a child or neglected him/her in any way, should NEVER loose custody for so long. Shame on you Scaduto. And shame on anyone who keeps her on the bench. Angry ex's and their employees and friends will lie in court to get what they want. Shame on you for believing the lies, and keeping a child from his VERY fit loving Mother. I hope someone removes her. And pray for any families who are stuck with her rulings. I finally got my son back 50:50, in mediation, and luckily we are completely fine again. Sadly, she is still making rulings damaging children's lives. Wake up and someone get her out! One day when my son is old enough, he will write her a letter and share with her the truth and what an incredible Mother I've always been...and she can live with herself and her biased ruling.

This Judge is bluntly racist towards African Americans with no regards and was rudely confident in her ruling. Did not give the defendant appropriate time as she gave petitioner of Hispanic race. With very clear evidence (video) hispanic was at fault she still made a ruling in their favor. Very unfair and horrible Judge! It was truly unbelievable and also waited to hear the case so no one else but the parties was in the court room.

I found Judge Scaduto to be eminently fair minded. She did not display any favoritism to either side during the proceedings, and gave each side a substantial amount of time to plead their case. She also showed a very nuanced understanding of non-physical forms of domestic violence. An excellent family law judge.

Judge Scaduto is not fair to fathers. Even really good fathers. She is extremely unfair. I was before her 3 times and each time she ignored excellent documentation and the proof I provided and was more interested in false claims made by my ex with absolutely no proof of what she wrote in her declarations. She is more concerned about making fathers pay a price because she obviously hates men/fathers. My ex took my son out of state without telling me and lied about the date she was leaving. I provided proof as my ex admitted it in an email chain. Judge Scaduto dismissed my case over a "date" I missed in my filing. She tool my rights away based on nothing and no proof at all. Cares more about mad mothers seeking revenge than what is best for the child. I have 11 years working directly with children in a child mental health clinic. She ignored all of it. Mean and unfair.

In disbelief that a Judge with her educational background and experience was unable to figure out that EX was being untruthful while under oath. Instead, she granted EX more custody.
EX even went out of his way to provide false declarations against me of people that I probably seen no more than two times. This Judge believed EX. I have given my child 1000 percent of the attention and care child requires, meeting all needs. Lie Detector Test should be permissible in Family Law Court. The saddest part is, it’s a complete injustice to an innocent child when extremely attached to parent, and that parent that has truthfully more involved is pushed away. The best interest of the child is what suppose to be the primary focus in Family Court I pray for this Judge, to have clarity of mind and not to be blinded by people or high profile attorneys that are good story tellers to the point of fooling others. I am hopeful that this Judge will take the time to clearly hear both sides without being so quick to make judgment. The one that is greatly most affected is the innocent child. Judge’s decisions can terribly hurt the child by removing them from the parent that was truthful and more actively involved in all aspects. GOD is faithful, as he will see me through this injustice.

Good luck getting a restraining order from this white Miss know it all! She should go be a social worker NOT a judge! I have NO doubt she is saving her restraining order cards for white high priced attorneys representing privileged clients!
Her clerk is the worse! He speaks rapidly with a major arrogance and an attitude! The judge & her clerk belong in a Comedy show NOT in the court room destroying lives and families!

I was not represented by counsel She straight up called me a liar to my face .I am offended bc big inky was I truthful in everything I said but the look on her face was of a bitter white woman
She placed judgement upon me based on other parties lies .She judged me on a car I was driving that was not even mine but the worse was to say she didn't believe a word from my mouth

Horrible judge. Had absolutely no respect for the California rules of court or the CCP. Allowed opposing party to file and submit a responsive of declaration on the very day of the hearing. Would not even consider my attorneys objection. Then progress to make orders regarding support with a year and a half old income and expense declaration. When my attorney tried to object on grounds of untimeliness she overruled and would not even allow him to make a record. She is a horrendous judicial officer had should be nowhere near family law.

She is a judge with an ax to grind. Watching other cases it was obvious that she picks the sides and advocate on behalf no matter the law or the realities of the case. In another matter she allowed a party to move away with their son without providing any prior notice to opposing party OR even a court order. The move was out of state. The move was out of state.

Completely didn't take the whole picture into account. My ex is supporting domestic violence of my son against me and now further abuse with custody child support that is unneeded as he makes much more then I.
Whole family court system is broken and they don't care about families or our children. Lawyers and judges out for our hard earned money. Rise up and get this system changed for the better.
