As I sit here and think about how bad the judge is in a case I am presently involved in here in la I reminisce back to a case I had iSome time ago I where Donald Alvarez was my law and motion judge . He was even Kiel, not ont condescending and to me like so many judges and lawyers are with non lawyers, but more importantly, he followed the law and was fair, impartial and just plain competent. He listened and you could see reason and intellect in his rulings and he did not always rule in my favor, but he was fair and impartial enough that I made it from trial and prevailed in the case. He is truly a great judge and his staff, specifically Eric the court clerk was equally competent, probably due to the judges demeanor, work ethic and plain honesty rubbing off on him. I am lloyd byers and I approve this rating

Judge Alvarez is very fair, even-handed and bright. Regarding motion practice, having had several motions before Judge Alvarez, it was obvious he'd read all the papers thoroughly. His rulings were fair and in accordance with the law (even if the rulings weren't always in my client's favor). Judge Alvarez is a keeper!
