Comments:
I had a court date 2012 concerning a real estate matter, I was unable to attend because of illness. I notified the Kern County Court and the plaintiffs attorney, I received a reschedule date and showed up and I was not allowed to present my side of the case or even speak. When the plaintiffs attorney was less than honest I tried to correct the record and she would not let me speak. Then the plaintiffs attorney filed a motion in May 2015 to have my broker withhold any funds from real estate transactions, he never show up in person or by phone so I asked her to not grant it based on me needing money to hire an attorney to defend myself about this case, she said she would take it under submission at around 9:00am and approximately 3:30pm she was granting the motion for the plaintiffs even though no one showed up. I ended up getting a judgement against me for not showing up due to illness and he got his motion granted without showing up. Where is the justice here, especially when there were and are mitigating circumstances in the case against me which judge Brumfield never heard.
