Teresa A. Beaudet is absolutely the worst judge I have ever encountered. I was fighting a wrongful foreclosure case in pro per and dropping statutory and case law and she would consistently assist the financial institution's attorney against me. What a disgrace she is. I don't care how many lemons she brings from her garden. She is SOUR!!![Redacted by Ed.]

54552- No opinion of this judge either way; and we all noticed the same thing and creepy pattern, by the " LASC nepotism nasty, disgruntled " 'wanna' be judge', abusive, family court attorney troll", who seems to be working extra hard to deflect from posts on their judge connection; demanding removal of certain judges' names on this site, when they had been actively practicing and not retired at the time, while nepotism nasty attorney troll, is obsessed with this site and posts, demanding deletion of truthful posts and certain judges names, and this beta attorney acts small and inadequate, because they are not a judge and they are a very bad attorney; who should not idolize their cheating, abusive judge family law judge connection; whether still practicing , or a "rent-a crappy judge" 'rent a crappy attorney".

54548-No opinion of this judge, but no sane parent would ask about how much children have been "eaten" by the judge; and post has same MO, pattern, timing of post, as Creepy 'False Flagger'- amateur 'Smollesque, LA nepotism nasty family court attorney troll"-who posts creepy posts on multiple judges to deflect from posts judge connection-and attorney troll criminally stalks and writes criminally threatening posts and replies against opponent-and these criminals, 'THEY' can't run away from accountability, from the receipts by just 'retiring', 'semi-retiring' backroom dealing and ghosting-as 'THEY' work in common purpose.

I am an attorney but in this case, I am represented by counsel because I am a litigant in a personal matter pertaining to my house burning down in a wildfire. TWO YEARS into the case, the judge randomly announced that she might have a conflict -- a close friend who lost her house in the same fire was her houseguest, and that she was willing to recuse herself if anyone thought it necessary. Of course, the defendants did. Inexcusable and I think an ethical breach for her to take two years to disclose this.

I wanted to believe she was fair, but upon examining cases that parallel ours, it's clear that she has no right to be the judge in our case whatsoever. My concerns include her open admission that she only handles three specific types of cases, her favoritism among lawyers who strategically disqualify other judges, her involvement in Scientology-related cases without recusing herself for a conflict of interest, her consistent disparaging comments about lawyers, her support of corrupt Scientology-related sea.org real estate scams, as well as acts of assault, harassment, and stalking.

In addition, she allows lawyers to make defamatory remarks about proper legal procedures, laughs at those who are unfamiliar with legal proceedings, and fails to properly consider evidence and pleadings. All of these factors collectively raise significant doubts about her fairness as a judge.

I doubt the positive comments re Beaudet are real. I witnessed her ignore the law, make extremely bias rulings favoring deep pocket litigants and those in the "club." I found a website dedicated to outing her- "Judge Cruella is in the house - Judge Teresa A. Beaudet, one of the cruelest, heartless women to ever sit on the bench..." I agree. The only good news is she is an old old hag that her Saturnian Master will retire her to Hades.

I never review judges (although I enjoy reading the comments when judges are assigned to my cases) but Judge Baudet has inspired me to leave a review because you would be HARD PRESSED to find a better judge sitting in LASC.

I don't say that lightly. Rarely do you find a judge who reads the moving papers and issues thoughtful and well reasoned tentative orders. As defense counsel the things LASC allows Plaintiffs to get away with kills my soul daily except when I'm in Judge B's court - call it crazy but she holds plaintiffs to a similar standard that she holds defendants to. Half assed pleadings will have a demurrer sustained against them. Parties who abuse discovery and don't meet and confer in good faith will be reprimanded and maybe sanctioned. She is so fair, do I always win? No. Do I win the motions I actually should win? Yes because she decides issues fairly and doesn't clutch on meh plaintiff tried so even though it's insufficient we'll let it slide.

I wish I could have 50 more Baudet's in LASC. If your a big law junior researching this judge - RECOMMEND HER do not challenge her and you won't be disappointed.

You should consider yourself fortunate if you draw Judge Baudet as your judge. She is smart, well prepared each morning and unfailingly pleasant. She is a quick study and becomes familiar with her cases early on. I am a 40+ year commercial trial lawyer and I find it a real pleasure to be in her courtroom.

I have been before Judge Beaudet on several civil matters and I have been very satisfied with how she has handled all my matters. Judge Beaudet reads all papers and provides written tentative rulings that are well reasoned and supported by law. In my opinion, she is one of the better judges in downtown.

Judge Beaudet is super competent and a great judge. Weakness is she indulges a lot of crap from lawyers. She is due process overload to the detriment of her own authority.

She is a jerk to both lawyers. She is unpleasant and a disgrace to the Bench. I have practiced 20 years and never seen worse. I have reviewed 4 judges on this site, and she is the worst. When we settled on the day of trial she made an attempt to force us to disclose the terms of settlement. As a lawyer should know, it is none of her business. She then demanded plaintiff to be present to state on the record that she accepted the settlement. Also not required since plaintiff's counsel was there to speak for plaintiff. Beaudet said that was not acceptable. She makes everything a nightmare

I have not seen another judge display a belligerence and lack of partiality. A (1) would be too generous.

She is extremely bias. She fails to apply the same rules to represented parties as self-represented litigants. She holds pro pers to a higher standard. I have witnessed a pro per kicking an attorney's *** and she totally intervened by instructing the attorney on how to proceed by moving ex parte. She's a disgrace.

Simply a bad judge. Maybe she was okay in family law but not at all qualified to be a judge in a civil court.

Judge Beaudet suffers from black robitis. She has rules that are entirely her own, that differ from regular practice. For example, only in her courtroom is ex parte notice by email or fax insufficient. She requires telephone or in person notice, notwithstanding the Rutter Guide's advice to the contrary. She also refuses to come out onto the bench for ex parte applications, even when a status conference was previously scheduled. Absolutely rigid on scheduling; will not move pre-trial dates, even when all parties consent. She makes clear that she does not view herself as a public servant to help move cases along; rather, the parties must work around her rigid rules and schedule.
