I do not know how anyone thinks this judge keeps cases from going to trial. A nonsense case by a vexatious litigant he has failed to grants motions to dismiss that are warranted and documented, and is bending over backwards for a lunatic pro per litigant WITHOUT A CASE. Costing defendants hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Judge Broadbelt is one of the best judges I have ever appeared before. I had a long trial in front of him and he was extremely fair. Excellent judicial temperament. He is very intelligent. A great judge for both sides.

I am constantly astounded by the poor quality of LASC judges, and this guy is no different. How can a contract signed by an alleged employee of one company obligate an entirely different company to that contract? It is basic contract law that a party has to show some intent to be bound by that contract to bind them to the contract - but Broadbelt apparently skipped that day.

This judge should not be allowed to run for dog catcher, let alone be allowed to practice law. He should be charged as an accomplice in murder of a five year old child. Because of his incompetent decisions Aramazd Andressian II, five years old, was killed by his father after this judge denied the mother a restraining order. There were three police officers, from three different stations there to testify and he dismissed them stating they were there for a custody hearing, not a domestic violence hearing. This judge and Aramazd Andressians attorney, Rebecca Dolores Lizarraga need to be held accountable for the death of this child.

Kept a courtroom full of lawyers waiting 45 minutes late, no explanation, ignored priority request and took an in pro per on courtcall with spanish interpretator, highly inconsiderate, I don’t care how thorough he is.

My mind has changed in the fairness this judge displays to litigants standing before him. I agree with the prior reviews in that this judge reads all the papers and is for the most part, fair. However, fairness is only equal to what is procedurally and properly before this judge, most of the time anyway. I find that this judge will allow an attorney to run the courtroom and set the stage for what facts get heard regardless if true or false. This judge is not very considerate of the pro se litigant and has little patience for those litigants and will not ask questions. Regardless of knowing relevant and key information, this judge will not ask questions to seek the truth of facts and in most cases will instead direct pro se litigants to the self-help room in the courthouse.

This judge has a gift for digging into the details that others, including his supervising judge, have missed and is a tremendous asset to the family court. His calm clarity extends to the entire courtroom with a courteous staff. A pleasure be heard with him even if the case doesn't go your way because he's readonable and fair.

Im going to court on Dec. 10th regarding property sale. I hope he READS all the info... My Ex husband has not been in the picture going on 8 yrs. Our son is 16 now and doesnot want to leave his family home. I have paid for everything and I mean everything concerning the property, medical, food, clothing. I have worked hard for over 28years and have done all I could physically and mentally handle to keep my son and daughter housed and healthy. Still I am being pushed by my ex husband through his lawsuit. Me and my kids (our kids) love our home. It is terrible how a person can run away from his responsibilities and 8 years want to take from the family he left. I honestly wish him no bad. I just wish him to leave me alone, and let me raise our family in peace in our Home. Thank You. Christine Rasha
