I can't believe her staff would say she is fair she is far from fair they need to look into her . Schems she doesn't play fair . Very biased it's so sad how she treats the defendants you don't have
A fair chance ...she should take there place .I've watched her in many cases her biased attitude comes out and she even answers for the prosecutor ...
God sees everything!!!!!
She has done !!!

Judge Laesecke is firm, but fair. She treats her staff well and tries to settle cases if and when they are possible.

Judge Laesecke is without a doubt the best Judge I have worked with. I have never once seen her go on a "power trip." She treats both sides equally and puts parties in their place when they disrespect The Court, when necessary. Other than that? She is a delight to work with.

I am not a member of her permanent staff, however, I have worked with her multiple times in trials, preliminary hearings, etc. and never once had a bad experience with her. You need to be prepared to bring your A-game in her courtroom though because she often is assigned high-profile trials.

Judge Laesecke deserves a 10/10 rating, and almost everyone else who has worked with her would say the same.

Very bad judge with a nasty attitude. And very bias in her court sessions she has a DA that she works very closely with whatever the DA tells her she approves when the defendant is not guilty she is abusing her power and convicting innocent people.

Defendant with minor probation violation (Failure to check in-PO was not answering phone during COVID remote checks ins). PD and Probation agreed defendant should pay off remaining fine and be released from probation. She refused to accept this agreement and sent defendant to jail without bail to await hearing.

She shows bias openly. She has been a DA for 18 years, was appointed as a judge by Arnold, not voted in by the people, and she clearly does not know how to separate her DA career from her role as a judge. Her status as a judge should be questioned . I do not feel confident that she is upholding to laws of our country, but worry that she is abusing her power to contradict the very laws that define our nation.

She's a far better trial judge then she is a pre-trial judge. As a non-trial judge she is nothing more than a prosecutor or another police officer in the courtroom. Rumor has it that her husband is a police officer.

I have always found Judge Laesecke to be fair and very straightforward. She holds people accoutable whether they be attorneys or defendants. She is sitting in a very difficult courtroom and is the assistant presiding judge for the courthouse. Her demeanor is always professional and pleasant.

Laura Laesecke is a mere arraignment judge. Its about the easiest job there is for a judge. If you have the misfortune of being in her court on a probation violation be prepared to go to prison. Small time offenders are given prison terms one after another. I have an inkling her true constituency is the prison guards union. She is not terribly bright and kept messing up the facts that supported in her pea brain her pre-determined prison sentence for my client. I was stunned. 95% of the judges in LA county would have reinstated probation. The PDs in her court are weak and going through the motions so no one challenges here dumb logic and draconian punishment.
