Absolute garbage “Judge.” In one case, Broughman protected Assistant District Attorney Lauren Guber after she withheld evidence in a sex crime case. In People v. Franco, Broughman refused to grant sex offender registration relief to a man convicted in the 1980s. See People v. Franco (2024). Guess what? There are about one million “Registered Sex Offenders” in the United States now. The registry is scientifically proven not to prevent crime, but to CAUSE crime. Judge Broughman is the problem. He is a reason why people now believe the courts are a complete and utter SCAM. He is just another black-robed Tyrant. Or, perhaps more appropriately, a prosecutor dressed in a black robe!

We need more people on the bench like him. No case is beneath him. Whether it be a traffic infraction or a serious felony defendant, he treats them with respect, dignity and a fairness. A true gentleman.

Very fair to drug defendants. I didn't think my client would complete treatment, but he gave her the chance and she surprised me. He understands how difficult it can be for some people and works with them. He came out prepared and moved the calendar right along.
