She is the worst & should be recalled. She ignores facts, favors corporations over the little guy, misconstrues factual information & makes stuff up. She won't listen when one tries to explain things, even when presented with the facts. She is not to be trusted to be fair & unbiased in her judgements.

Only a. skinned arrogant being who believes their religion is above the law of the land would provide over 1 star for a fraud acting in our government. Analyze these comments if your reading best believe the FBI do. AND Trust our departments work in Tandam.

I represented a landlord in a commercial tenant eviction during the Covid-19 pandemic that resulted in a bench trial. I generally found the judge to be competent, fair and quite even-tempered, even after she ultimately ruled against my client in what was arguably an error of law, but not without providing a legal rationale. I saw no obvious prejudice towards or against the landlord or tenant and would try a case before her again.

She is the epitome of prejudice discriminatory condescending horrible in her position. In my case the defense was out of control, threatening everyone, name calling and not sticking to the facts. Because we were black we had no chance to have a fair case. The defendant was violent against other tenants, threatening and even tried to run other black tenants over. Instead of her managing her courtroom she allowed him to do and say whatever he wanted to. Her judgment came in against us. Makes no sense. Even the court clerk said she thought she had a bad neighbor and now sees she doesn’t. This woman is no judge. She basically said the dangerous tenant would have to kill or injure one of us or another tenant for us to get him out. This whole UD case was a circus. Worse experience of my court experiences. And i work in the legal field. She was not fair and legal. She has to be the worst judge i have ever stood before. If you get her, change judges if you are of color.

Hard to believe this woman is a Judge. She was late. When she did arrive she declared everyone had better hurry up. She interrupted Plaintiffs to take other cases in front of them. Did not allow Plaintiff anywhere near the same time to speak as shouty, rude, interrupting Defendant. She obviously did not study the exhibits thoroughly. A contract was obviously breached, but Defendant received no judgement against them. She seemed delighted to believe obvious lies.

She is incompetent and biased in my opinion. She is nasty and unfair. She seems to dislike lawyers as plaintiffs in small claims. She did everything to thwart my case. I need to find out what economic or political ties she has to make her so biased.

Absolutely awful judge. She didn’t even look at the evidence and believed every single lie that came out of the landlord’s mouth. Multiple reviews have mentioned that she automatically sided with landlords, and that was my experience as well.

I literally had three lawyers read over my lease and they all agreed that the lease was illegal. The judge literally said “I have never seen this kind of language in a lease before!” But as soon as the landlord pulled out some lies and excuses, she absolutely ate it up. I couldn’t believe it!

Don’t expect a fair trial with Lisa Sepe-Wiesenfeld. You won’t get one.

She gets her facts wrong, ignores factual information, misconstrues factual information, makes shit up and is prejudiced towards women and against senior citizens. She doesn't allow plaintiffs enough time to clearly present their case and seems bothered that she has to be there in the first place. She should be recalled.

Got bit by apt neighbors dog. Proved negligence in multiple areas. Including the defendant lying under oath. Pictures of my black and blue leg a foot long and I lost the case.

TOTAL SHAM. DONT KNOW IF THIS IS DISCRIMINATION AS JUDGE AND DEFENDANT ARE BOTH JEWISH BIT IT BAFFLES ME.

Deplorable. She is the embodiment of white privilege and entitlement

I was in court numerous times waiting for my case to be heard. This gave me opportunity to observe the decisions and interactions. My first impression was this judge is fair but after days of watching the judge is very friendly with the landlord's lawyers often joking and saying personal comments when people's homes and lives are being threatened.
Sepe-Weisenfeld is biased, lacking integrity and of course I wonder when she crossed the line because this judge is incapable of rendering a fair decision. Her rulings always favour corporations that beat up the little guys. Deplorable! She should be investigated and removed.

I was a defendant in small claims court on Dec 11th 2020. This judge was screaming at me almost always- taking the side of the Caucasian tenant - who left my home as a disaster. In spite of my showing her photos- she would scream back at me, and tell me "I heard that already!!!".

I knew she was going to rule against me- and she did.

There is nothing about this judge that is fair: she was incredulous that a homeowner should at the very least ask a tenant to CLEAN UP? Really??? How does she NOT see the condition the tenant was given the apartment in, and how he returned it?? Oh- could it be, that what I said, did not matter- as I am not white!! Judge Lisa K Sepe-Wisenfeld: you are prejudiced!!

Judge Lisa K. Sepe-Wiesenfeld is a mean, vindictive, racist person. I have observed her in the Santa Monica Unlawful Detainer court room treating black people who come before her in a quick and dismissive manner. She especially dislikes black men. She has no tolerance for black male attorneys. After coming to this conclusion, I requested that my case be transferred to the Los Angeles Unlawful Detainer Court because I don't believe I can get a fair shot with her as the judge. Judge Sepe-Wiensenfeld is very chummy with the landlords and their attorneys. Judge Sepe-Wiensenfeld usually rules in favor of the landlords. So far, I have not heard back from the supervising Judge that my case will be transferred from Santa Monica to Los Angeles.

This judge is fair and equitable. I have been suing the healthcare insurance carriers for years now. I usually have to be in front of the same judge several times for them to actually understand this complicated law. She got it on the first shot. Incredible!. Not expected in a relatively new judge who is dealing with simple small claims cases all day long. She is bright, sharp and doesnt let either party get away with wasting the courts time repeating the same argument. I am so impressed that she actually puts her foot down and gets to the details. I am not so happy that she makes us wait until the end of the day for our cases to be heard, even though it now takes no more time to get through our cases as it does anyone elses. SHe even was instrumental in getting 14 of our cases resolved by arranging another judge in the courthouse to mediate. Honorable, fair, eloquent, respectable and no nonsense are some of the words that come to mind. Recommend her as a judge any day of the week :)

This Judge is terrible for tenants. Obseerved she is particularly hard on african american tenants. Comes from an insurance company background and it shows. She physically presides over the Unlawful Detainer department at Stanley Mosk, but an appearance attorney tends to call the shots for her. Not very well prepared and runs her Court more like a circus than a Courtroom. Lacks the intellect, demeanor and judgment necessary to preside anywhere else. Strongly recommend using 170.6 on her if you are a tenant or not buddies with the appearance attorney. Not suitable for any other place than the UD department, and not really suitable for that.
