Extremely unfair. Pro prison sentences. No regard for people suffering from substance abuse. Feels prison time is only solution.

Not good with Homeless and poor litigants and trusts police officers too much which leads to killing of the officers

One of the only judges in the county I routinely consider papering. Can't stand appearing before him. Hard to believe Burbank Dept. 1 went from one of the best felony settlement judges around (Hon. Patrick Hegarty) to him. Maybe he'll improve, but after these many years...doubtful.

This man falsely imprisoned me. Would not define the word represent. He ordered me back to court after asking simple questions like who is the plaintiff. He lacks integrity. He tortured me on an infraction for 1 year four months and 17 days. The prosecution waived the $100 penalty for allegation. Learned about a peremptory challenge, and "poof", I was transferred to a more reasonable judge and my matter was dismissed.

I was in this man's courtroom today. He failed to provide any documentation indicating that there was a plaintiff in my case. He denied my right to a jury trial even though it's gauranteed by the california constitution. He denied my right to a court reporter even though it was a criminal matter and is required. He refused to answer my motion to dismiss because there was no opposition to my motion and he decided to wait until a random prosecutor showed up and gave her the motion to review and make arguments against. Still no evidence of a plaintiff. Then denied my motions on unknown grounds. Then proceeded to arraign me without reading off he charges against me. Then entered a not guilty plea against my will and with my objection. He seems to thing the word "may" in California Vehicle Code section 15 means mandatory. Told him he can't enter a plea of not guilty on my behalf because the california rules of the court 4.100 require council to be present. He granted a continuance for May 18th. Went to the clerk again to find out who the plaintiff was and was informed there is nothing indicating that there is a plaintiff in my case. Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on with these judges.
