I was warned early on that this judge would be death on any kind of land use case in which one is trying to preserve the environment or is up against any type of governmental agency, and to just give up the case if he was the judge. I wish I had listened but I had remembered that many years prior he had an excellent reputation in the field of probate where he started out as a commissioner. So I did not affidavit this judge. Then in handling the case, this judge stood on his head, looked at things upside down, and ignored facts to rule in favor of a particular city on every important point. He would only allow our side to get our way on things which were unimportant in an effort to seem even-handed. Also, he would not provide a tentative ruling until the morning of an early appearance so there was virtually very little if any opportunity to review, digest, or argue his unfair rulings. He is retirement age and I imagine he will receive lots of ADR work from the large firm representing the particular city. It also seemed like he was engaging in ex parte communications with opposing counsel, a regular in his courtroom. If he were more attractive he would remind me of Bryan Cranston in Your Honor. File your affidavit posthaste and do not litigate a land use case against any type of governmental entity before this judge. That was the advice I received and did not heed, but knowing what I know now, I really wouldn't take him for any type of case.

This judge has ruled against the Constitution of the Untied States of America and its laws, but enforcing experimental products on United States Citizens, (including school children). Let it be on record he has forced experimental vaccinations on the American People.

Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff has been doing this impersonating for quite some time I see.
I am not an attorney. I am a private citizen who was placed before him in a divorce case.
Based clearly on the color of my skin the judge ruled unfairly in my case and if transcripts were available proof would be told.
The judge made decisions that were racist in nature and in principle and that was 20 years ago, nothings changed.
I spoke then of the affect of his ruling would take on another African American family and he chose to ignore the facts and rule based on his beliefs which tilted and illegal.

Totally agree with the negative postings of beckloff! He violates civil rights & our constitutional rights in his rulings because it makes him feel powerful! Look at him, a little bald headed nerd with his little glasses from Kansas who all of sudden ended up in la ruling over the Elite and the Hollywood type! A scam artist plaintiff lawyer can easily fool him! He lives in a 3 million dollar Mansion with a pool with his husband so I wonder if bribery is part of his minute orders?!

MItchell Beckloff is an embarrassment to his law school (Loyola) and to his fellow judges. He issued injuctive relief forbidding religious organizations from holding religious services inside buildings at the same time as Walmart, supermarkets, factories and offices are allowed to conduc their normal activities at the same time.

Judge Beckloff believes that states and cities/counties police power under the 10th Amendment and state law SUPERCEDE Americans FIRST AMENDMENT rights to free exercise of their religion.

Judge Beckloff is the kind of judge the Founding Fathers and authors of the U.S. Constitution were worried about in the late 1700's.

The Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court needs to yank Judge Beckloff out of the Writs & Receivers Department in that court immediately.

If you are lucky to get Judge Mitchell Beckloff, as The Judicial Officer on your Case. You have the assurance of knowing. This Judge is fair, honest, unbiased, and looks at everything. His Honor is a very thorough individual. We are thankful, there are Earth Angels who care so much about everyone and everything that is filed and happens in His Honor's Courtroom. The earlier comments are strange, they either love or hate this guy. Frankly, I do not respect many judges, but I respect this man. He does read the stuff thoroughly, and has always been prepared. Though he may not agree with me every time, he is evenhanded, and exhibits a very comforting and professional judicial manner. More judges should be like him.

This judge is a prejudice, xenophobic, unfair opinionated angry man who will murder you’re case & destroy you’re life in an instant.
He blames the victims for provoking their wrong doer hence deserving the violence that was being unleashed on them. He was transferred back to Stanley Moss court house. Don’t be fooled by his soft demeanor, he will come out like a fuming dragon and unleash his firey wrath on you in his sentencing. Favors jews, favors men, favors white litigants! You have been warned! If he is assigned to you’re case, immediately file to remove him! He has been sued by 2 women recently and hates brown skin, black skin and ethnic litigants!

He did not protect me or my trust assets. He allowed my trustees to steal, conspire and show extreme hostility towards me and my family. He did not follow the laws or keep the trustees from insulting me in the court. He should NOT be a judge. He is friends with some of the attorneys and he let's them commit crimes with the protection of the court.

He comes out like a fumeing dragon blowing fire at the end while fooling you at first with a smile & even temperament! He keeps everyone waiting, and when he does appear, isn't aware of facts, doesn't know filed documents, and just accepts at face value whatever side he's predetermined to be his favorite. There's no justice here! Allows ridiculous theatrics from one side, then refuses to hear relevant testimony from the other. Request a new judge if you want justice.

While he may read, he is often not prepared for hearings on the law or facts, or simply does not apply the law correctly to the facts. In some instances, he may know the law, but chooses to ignore it in favor of which ever party he arbitrarily chooses to favor that day. He does not rule from the bench neutrally as he should. His bias and lack of impartiality is abundantly clear. He also tests and plays games, so if you are not prepared or do not know the law and facts, beware!

As an attorney who has not actively practiced for more than 20 years, I recently had a wonderful experience as as a trial juror in a case presided over by Judge Beckloff. It was an absolute delight to be in his courtroom. He treated everyone in his Court be they witnesses, jurors, attorneys, or staff with the utmost respect and, indeed, warmth. And yet his friendliness and decency in no way impeded the proceedings, rather, those qualities enhanced the experience for all concerned and did not interfere in any way with his ability to conduct the trial in a fair, impartial and competent manner. I would give him the highest rating possible.

Judge Beckloff is the best. CA8048 appears to have directed his frustration improperly. Judge Beckloff is a mediator. The PVP had a duty to investigate and report any findings of abuse. Beckloff can only rule on issues brought before him.

I was a juror in a civil case over which he presided. He was very even tempered, fair, punctual, knowledgeable and always engaged in the proceedings. He was also very kind and considerate toward jurors, as well as attorneys and his judicial staff.

His biased ruling caused serious harm to an individual. Beckloff allowed a monster to become conservator of an mentally impaired person who was stolen from and treated with an immoral lack of dignity. This person was tormented and abused for years and in the end, the conservator that Beckloff seemed to favor, buried the deceased impaired person in a cardboard box like someone's hamster. This impaired person had people who would have loved and respected them, but Beckloff insisted on letting this monster conservator do what they wanted. So much for justice.

Wicked smart, knows every detail about each of the cases on his docket. I went in for a hearing and he asked about how another attorney in the firm was doing, since he had been on crutches when he last tried a case before Judge Beckloff more than two years earlier. (He remembered from that long ago!) Very courteous, fair, and probably the most competent judge I've ever come across.

Although he comes to the right result, he allows attorneys to waste a lot of time by not coming down more firmly on bad and unprepared attorneys.
