I have never encountered a judge who is so biased like this one. Even though he agreed the other side's requests were not proper, he accused me that I was playing games. He just jumped to the decision without allowing full disclosure of all the facts.

I've appeared before Judge Styn many times on both the Plaintiff and Defendant side of the lectern. I find him to be extremely even tempered and prepared. Whether I prevail or not I always feel he's at least thoroughly read the papers and makes his ruling based upon reasonable interpretations of the facts and law. He's very flexible with scheduling and getting things done in a productive manner. He's one of the judges I hope to pull when I receive a notice of case assignment. Good Judge.

I've appeared before Styn on both the plaintiffs' side and defense side and in small matters as well as large ones. He does not seem to favor plaintiff or defense, read the moving papers, asks insightful questions about authority in your papers, and makes smart, well-educated rulings (and I'm saying that even though he has not always ruled in my favor). At the end of the day, he's a very fair and reasonable judge.

This Judge ruined my whole life. He decided to close the case without evaluating the case. Even during the trial, he said this is a complicated case but he even did not bother to study the case. I'm crying every day and I can not believe justice can not be served even in the US.

He is the worst judge I have ever had the misfortune of appearing in front of. He decides issues without reading the case law or evaluating the issues. If he decided he does not like you then he does everything he can to ensure you lose. He is awful. He is the essence of where our system goes wrong because he does not do justice. He does what he wants and that is not justice.

Judge seems apt to snap decisions without fully inquiring, exploring or allowing both sides to present argument. He was confused about the facts, and rather than seek clarity said "we don't have time" and made a snap decision. The Plaintiff's attorney had to interrupt the judge after he had made a decision in order to get the judge to reconsider the decision made.

Judge Styn is the worst judge that I have ever encountered. He allowed his personal (and entirely unfounded) animus towards me to stipulate that I would never be allowed to testify in his court room. In doing so, he denied a severely injured plaintiff a relevant witness.
