Growing up in the military environment, I have always been patriotic and proud of our Democratic process. My exposure to Judge Tanya Thorp shattered any pride I once had in our judicial process, specifically with Family Law. Judge Thorp is unable to remove any of her personal bias and personal judgement from the courtroom and disregards the law. Each time we were in front of a Court Commissioner (with the exception of her friend outside of the courtroom Canada-Thurston who has the lowest judicial ratings according to King County judicial surveys), they ruled differently. Attorneys view her as a "wildcard" since she takes advantage of Washington State's extensive judicial discretion which is offered to judges. I filed a complaint against her with the judicial commission. I suspect no action will be taken. She is offensive to the law. Given Governor Inslee nominated her, I will never vote for him since he does not do his due diligence before appointing a judge. If you research Thorp's Attorney General record, she was suspected of tampering evidence and gathering evidence to favor her ruling. Despite this record, Inslee appointed her. She is a disgrace to the bench.
