If there were an option to rate him a "0" or lower in the negative #s I would. Judge Blake was extremely & unnecessarily degrading/demeaning to defendants, ridiculed them for coming to court in their "clean, fancied-up clothes" & made it clear to the entire court that he was disgusted with the female defendant for having their nails done. Automatically took plaintiffs (state agency) version of initial incidents, without any visible/audible/tangible proof or evidence except for their written statement, never giving either defendant an opportunity to give their side nor give any proof/evidence in their defense... Within minutes of the very first hearing beginning the Judge began hurling insults & berating the defendants from across the bench. Each hearing thereafter was progressively more insulting & offensive, even after defendants had cooperated with the plaintiffs & there was undeniable proof of the defendants doing as such. By the last 2 hearings plaintiffs were commending defendants & stating that they did prove (in parts) some of their intial accusations to be a non-issue from the get-go, & Judge Blake was dramatically sighing & visibly rolling his eyes all throughout any positive statements from either side's attorneys. When all sides had spoken at the final hearing, ALL attorneys agreeing that the case was no longer needed & spoke of all of the positives & ALL agreeing that the case should be closed & dropped, Judge Blake made it blatantly clear that he did not agree with anyone in the courtroom, & that it's against his better judgement BUT he would "reluctantly" go along & close the case, & stated he had no shadow of a doubt that the defendants would be back in his court before long & that he feels beyond sorry for the sad life their family must live. One of his last statements to the female defendant was asking her which restaurant location she worked at, when she replied, he practically cut her sentence off & stated that he was glad he knew which establishment NOT to ever frequent again.
