I've been practicing before Judge Janes for almost 8 years now, in criminal, civil, and juvenile cases. I've found Judge Janes to always be pleasant to deal with, and honest, fair, and consistent in his courtroom presence and decision making process. He follows the law, but not blindly, and encourages all parties to work towards a resolution on their own if at all possible. In civil matters he is very flexible with time contraints and standards, as long as he sees progress being made towards resolution, and he realizes that lawyers are human too, and doesn't expect perfection, just professional behavior and your best effort. He's an asset to Marion County.
